System Change Public Forums Feb 6
The State of Michigan aims to redesign the behavioral health system in Michigan, possibly as soon as October 2022. With major change there are also concerns. Many are worried that this change may take away services and supports they currently receive. We at Northern Lakes have concerns about the new plan.
Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) will host a “Virtual Forum” on its vision of the future system on Thursday, February 6. Northern Lakes will broadcast the forum in its four offices, along with a chance to ask questions locally. Members of the NLCMHA Leadership Team will be in each office to assist. The schedule for February 6 is below.

There will also be a public forum at Kirtland Community College in Grayling from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, February 21. The event is free but registration is encouraged: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/mdhhs-future-of-behavioral-health-public-forum-6-grayling-tickets-91348105643.
