See Art of Recovery Show until Nov 25

Many wonderful pieces of art were submitted for the 13th Annual Art of Recovery: The Human Journey show and are now on display at the Traverse Area District Library. The show will remain up until Monday, November 25, 2019. Stop by the McGuire Room any time during library hours to see the art and become inspired.

Art of Recovery: The Human Journey  is all about celebrating the healing power and resiliency of people. We have heard over and over how important this show is to people who have faced challenges in the eye and come out the other side. It’s empowering to see that no matter what the challenge – mental illness, substance abuse, grief, loss, domestic violence, divorce, physical illness – we all have struggles sometimes and we are resilient people who are all in this journey together.

Artists may pick up unsold art at the Northern Lakes CMH Traverse City office by Friday, December 6. If your art was submitted to another office, it will be returned to that office for your convenience and you may pick up there.

Check out our website next fall for information on submitting to next year’s show. We will be in the library again in November and the submission deadline will be in October with submission guidelines and materials available in September.
