Northern Lakes CEO Announces Retirement
Greg Paffhouse recently announced that he will retire early next spring, ending an extraordinarily distinguished career working tirelessly on behalf of persons served by Northern Lakes Community Mental Health (CMH), its owners, stakeholders and employees.
Greg worked for North Central CMH from April 1976 through September 2003 and since October 2003, following the merger of Great Lakes and North Central CMHs, for Northern Lakes CMH. Throughout this time he held a variety of positions; since December 1996, he has been the Chief Executive Officer.
Al Cambridge, Jr., Northern Lakes CMH Board Chair, said, “Greg has provided strong leadership and will leave behind a legacy of accomplishment and lasting commitment to persons we serve. Greg has set a vision for the future that will serve us well as we move forward.”
Cambridge added, “Greg’s early announcement of retirement plans allows the Board time to ensure an orderly transition. The Board has seated a search committee with the goal to have a new CEO in place by April 2015.”
Northern Lakes CMH manages or provides services and supports to over 5,000 residents who are adults and children with intellectual/developmental disabilities, adults with serious mental illness, and children with serious emotional disturbance living in the six counties of Crawford, Grand Traverse, Leelanau, Missaukee, Roscommon, and Wexford.
