Mental Health First Aid: Upcoming classes open to the community!
Mental Health First Aid is an internationally recognized course which teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges in others. NLCMHA trainers have over 60 years combined training experience and are offering in-person sessions.
The class is offered in-person from 8:00 to 5:00. You will learn a lot about mental health diagnoses, what to look for, what to do, and when to seek professional help. You’ll also learn about different resources that are available.
The next classes are:
- The next class focused on supporting YOUTH is October 25 in Traverse City.
- The next class focused on supporting ADULTS is October 11 in Traverse City.
- You may sign up to take either, or both!
- In addition, we are working with law enforcement using grant funds to do specialized trainings in partnership with law enforcement trainers.
