Art of Recovery Reception Friday, Nov 4, 3-6pm

Everyone in the community is invited to the artists’ reception this Friday, November 4, 2022, from 3:00 to 6:00 PM (free event) in the Atrium of the Traverse Area District Library.

There are over 50 pieces of art in this 15th Annual Art of Recovery: The Human Journey show.

No matter what the challenge – mental illness, substance abuse, grief, loss, domestic violence, divorce—we all have struggles sometimes and we are resilient people who are all in this journey together.

This show celebrates the healing power of people – and demonstrates that it is OK to not be OK. Anyone living in Northern Michigan who is recovering, or has already recovered, from anything is eligible to submit art to this special show – in other words, everyone! 

The show will be available for your viewing pleasure through November 28, 2022.

Some art pieces are available for sale. Contact Cindy Petersen at 231-935-3099 if you are interested in purchasing a piece. Please note that this is not a fundraiser for CMH. Rather, it is a community awareness event. The artist will receive 100% of any sale.
