The 17th Annual Art of Recovery: The Human Journey Show is now open for submissions.

Entries are being accepted now through October 25 at any of our four office locations. ANYONE living in our six counties who is recovering, or has recovered from ANYTHING, is eligible to submit art to this show – including staff, providers, persons served, and community members.

There is no cost to submit art and no cost to view the artwork at the library.

The show will be held November 8-26, 2024 at the Traverse Area District Library, with a reception on Friday, November 15, from 2 to 6 p.m.

This annual show celebrates the healing power and resiliency of people. The creations offer hope and demonstrate courage. We have heard over and over that this show empowers us! It demonstrates that NO MATTER WHAT the challenge – mental illness, substance abuse, grief, loss, domestic violence, divorce – we all have struggles sometimes and we are resilient people who are all in this  journey together.

Sometimes people are filled with relief to see that they are not alone and realize that others have grappled with similar challenges and experienced some of the same things they do.

Please note that this is not a fundraiser – 100% of the proceeds go directly to the artists. This is a chance for our community to come together to celebrate the healing power and resiliency of people!
