Mental Health Mini-Grants Available – Apply by November 1, 2011

Northern Lakes CMH is pleased to announce a second round of Mental Health Mini-Grants! The idea is to harness the energy of people who have motivation and passion to work together on recovery projects. We hope the mini-grants will generate excitement and provide resources for people to connect and work on innovative, localized projects of common interest!

The two priority areas are:

  • Community Membership, Inclusion and Participation
  • Wellness

Projects may promote success in jobs, volunteering, education; stigma reduction or public education; good physical/mental/spiritual health, or quality of life, to name a few examples.

Up to 10 grants may be funded, at a maximum of $2000 each, up to a total of $10,000. People eligible to apply are those who are recovering from a mental illness who live in NLCMH’s six counties (Crawford, Grand Traverse, Leelanau, Missaukee, Roscommon and Wexford).

This project is funded through a Culture Change To Embrace Recovery block grant from the Michigan Department of Community Health to Northern Lakes CMH.

Applicants will be notified by December 1, 2011. Projects need to be completed by September 30, 2012.
